Our tank cleaning and bilge cleaning services are completed using our brand new vacuum tank truck equipped with a hot water heater that allows for the use of cold and/or hot water pressure for cleaning your tanks and/or bilges. This hot water helps drastically in the removal of contaminants from your tanks/bilges.
Our Process
Marine Waste Management provides and professionally protects all work and travel areas insuring proper interior and exterior vessel protection at all times.
The tank(s) will be washed at high pressure with solution with a man in the tank (if accessible). All contaminants will be washed out and removed leaving the tank(s) clean and free of all build up and or debris.
Once the tank has been thoroughly cleaned, we will inspect the condition of the tank with the engineer and/or captain. At this time, if any repairs to the tank are needed our technician will notify them. Should grinding and coating of the tank be suggested a separate estimate will be provided at that time. Also, upon completion, a Certificate of Disposal will be provided for the vessels records.
The safety of our employees is extremely important to us which is why all Marine Waste Management tank cleaning technicians are certified with 40 hour OSHA training and Confined Space Entry training for the team and vessel’s protection. Marine Waste Management meets all regulatory compliance required for our industry and for the work we perform.

Vessel Discharge
The discharge of untreated "sewage" from boats into waters of the State is prohibited by both State law (Florida Litter Law - 403.413, F.S.) and Federal law (Clean Water Act). Note, gray water is not considered "sewage" in the law. Therefore, the discharge of gray water from boats into the sea around Florida is currently not prohibited. The law defines gray water from boats as "galley (kitchen), bath, and shower water."
Tank grinding and coating is a service where one of our experienced technicians will grind away at any corroded areas from within the tank followed by applying a coat of a specific type of paint to help prolong the longevity of the tank itself. A tank cleaning is required prior to grinding and coating of the tank and is recommended routinely. The amount of time it takes to complete a grinding and coating job all depends on the size and type of the tank(s). It is important to maintain the quality of your tanks to extend their lifespan. For additional information on grinding and coating, please contact our office to speak with a professional.
